Producers Tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, potatoes & beans

Our belief is simple: it is the producers who make the difference.

We take the time to identify them, to understand their stories and the choices they make, so that we can better showcase their work.

Being a marketer means forging connections, meeting people and giving meaning to every product, with high standards and authenticity.

  • La Pomme d’Amour

Serge and Vincent – Belinda, Amélie and Elisa / La Pomme d’Amour brand / Tomatoes

It was at the start of the 20th century, between the two world wars, that Grandfather Édouard CESTIER would start germinating tomato seeds by the stove in the kitchen as early as February. They would then sow them in glass-covered frames (cold frames); the tomato plants were subsequently planted, with great care, sheltered by cypress hedges to protect them from the mistral. And by the end of June, wholesalers were snapping up the first early tomatoes – ‘the flat tomatoes of Châteaurenard’ – to distribute them throughout Europe. The children, and later the grandchildren, have kept the tradition alive. They still grow tomatoes just as faithfully as ever. Greenhouses have replaced the ‘couche’ so that tomatoes can be harvested from March to October.

    Jean-Michel and Thierry / Rognonas (Bouches-du-Rhône) / Open-field tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes

Nestled between the Alpilles and the Durance, we find a small family-run farm in the heart of Provence. A family of true enthusiasts for three generations, it was in 1960 that grandfather Bernard and his wife Marie France began farming the land, aided by their horses.
Their sons Jean-Michel and Thierry, joined by their own children, have taken over the business and specialise in growing heirloom tomatoes in open fields using manure and compost.
The farm’s philosophy is to grow beautiful, flavourful produce in open fields, in order to showcase the regional terroir.

For four generations, in the heart of Provence, tomato cultivation has held no secrets for us. The result of daily hard work, our tomatoes also reflect our expertise, our values and our commitment to increasingly responsible and sustainable farming.
Desorgues’ production comprises 20 varieties of tomatoes spread across 4 hectares of land. Each year, 50 employees work in shifts to produce around 1,500 tonnes of produce.
Desorgues practises integrated biological pest management, minimising the use of plant protection products as much as possible. Marketed under the Croc’ au Sel brand, discover a wide range of heirloom tomatoes, as well as more traditional varieties and small tomatoes perfect for eating with your fingers.
